Fantasy Colouring - Dragon Orb

Hi all!  I seem to be on a colouring roll lately.

Today I am sharing Dragon Orb by Molly Harrison Art from the February clouring class at Kit and Clowder.  I've had the image printed for quite awhile but for some reason never got around to colouring it.

How fun are those dragon wings!!

I loved doing this background technique.  Amazing what you can do with 2 Copic refills, a q-tip and rubbing alcohol.

My colours of choice for the background were G21 and BV01 because those were the refills I had that seemed to suit the coloured image. Stars were added with white pen. Coloured with Copic markers.

Garden Marci

Today I am popping in to share my version of the August marker class at Kit and Clowder.  If your looking for a reasonably priced class where you can learn new techniques every month and finish a whole project I suggest you check out Alyce's classes. They are easy to follow with both written and video instructions.

This months class used images from La La Land Crafts.  This image called Garden Marci.  I have coloured the barnyard scene with Copic markers and staged the "photo shoot" outside in my garden, which is 2 tomato plants ... lol.

The sky was intentionally left streaky to blend in with a flaw in the paper that didn't take the colour well.  What I thought was a small flaw was in more than one spot but it all worked out in the end.

Seeanna Mermaid

Whew .... it has been hot outside these past few days!  I have taken over the kitchen table to colour as my upstairs craft room was to warm this weekend. At one point I think it hit 30c!!

Since I wasn't in a position to hit the lake or go swimming I decided to get out my copics and colour a "cool" water scene instead.

What's more perfect for a water scene than a mermaid digi!  I have used Seeanna Mermaid by Amanda Byron to frolic in the ocean today.  You can find more of her digi's over at Farey Ink.

Using some techniques from Kit and Clowder July 2015 Create and Learn class I created this cool ocean background.  I don't have the copic colours I used handy but I can tell you they were similar to the class ones.

I have entered her in the Faery Ink Coloring Challenge on the Markers! Papers! Digis! facebook page.

VaVa Voom!

Hi! Today I am sharing a recently completed "dude" card. I made this card for my middle son's birthday.  In the past couple of years he has been bitten by the racing bug and drives a truck in the "crash to pass" races.

After some Googling I found the perfect images at Kenny K Stamps. Merging these two digi's, Cool Trucker and Honey Sparks together created the perfect image for his card.

Seeing this was cartoonish .. is that even a word, I kept the card bright and minimal. You may not be able to tell from the photograph but I did get some sparkle in using black glitter tape on  two corners and glitter around the "silver" cup.  I know it looks black but it is silver.
