Poppy Bloomin' Treasures Challenge

This was a fun little challenge using a supplied colour palette.  It was interesting to see how different all of the colourings were.  The image we used is Poppy Bloomin' Treasures by artist Heather Valentin.  You can find her at Lacy Sunshine Stamps.  She is one of the images on the Lacy Sunshine Bloomin' Treasures Coloring Pages Set #2.  Here is my interpretation of the palette.

I decided to try something new and put her on a flame less candle.  The coloured image was scanned and printed onto tracing paper.  I taped the thin tracing paper to some card stock so it would feed through the printer.  Once printed and trimmed a heat gun was used to attach the image to the candle.

The Poppy candle is a nice addition to my craft table.

Happy Holidays Christmas Card

Today I am sharing my card for the bi-weekly challenge over at the Lacey Sunshine Colour Your World, Anything Goes Challenge.  I was given the digi Snow Days Rory to use for creative inspiration but thought she looked a little lonely and needed a friend.  Merging Reggie Christmas Bells was the perfect answer.

Rory's Lil Reindeer Friend Christmas Card

Hi all! Today I am sharing a card I made using Rory's Lil Reindeer Friend by artist Heather Valentin.  You can find more Rory digi's at the Lacy Sunshine, Color Your Wold, Crafter's Candy Shoppe.  I must admit I am a big Rory fan and do enjoy colouring her.

Rory's Lil Reindeer Friend

On this card the embellishments were kept low and minimal so the card would be easier and less expensive to mail out.  All papers and embellishments are from my stash scraps.  Snow-tex and glitter was used for the snow accents.  The snowflakes were created with a Recollections 5/8in punch .

Rory's Lil Reindeer Friend was coloured using Copic markers.  Colours used are on the recipe card below.

My Friend Flakey Colouring

Hi everyone! I have one more colouring to share. This one is from Sugar Nellie  and is called My Friend Flakey! I have coloured this digi with Copic markers and used fine glitter on the bottom as well as Crystal Stickles on the snowflakes. Don't you think he is going to look great on a Christmas card?

Sharing Weekend Colouring

Hi everyone. Today I am sharing some colourings I completed over the weekend.  Here are the 2 from Lacy Sunshine Stamps by artist Heather Valetin. Heather's digi's are so much fun to colour up.

For this image I merged 2 stamps Mistletoe's Ornament and Coco's Holiday Ornament. They have been coloured with Copic markers and I used Snow-tex and glitter to give the snow dimension. Next step cards.

Nair Indian Maiden Easel Card

Here is my entry for the Team A November challenge.  I was given a digi called Nair Indian Maiden by artist Heather Valentin.  For this challenge we were asked to use Autumn colours.  I decided to make a shaped easel card and cut the card shape out with my Cricut.  Paper, burlap and embellishments are from my stash.  Using burlap is a first for me and I must admit I quite like the effect.

You can find Nair Indian Maiden with her friends at  Lacy Sunshine Stamp - the Crafter's Candy Shoppe.

Why Not A Purple Snowflake

It's that time of year!  You are going to see a lot of Christmas Cards popping up on my blog.  Today I am sharing one with Iced Bleeding Heart Flower Pot Pretty from Lacy Sunshine Stamps.

Thought I would try something different and match the paper to the background.  The paper and flower were in on of Lacy Sunshine Crafters Candy boxes.  The digital stamp was coloured using Copics.  Lace is from my stash.

Sammi Boo's Hot Cocoa Christmas Card

Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping by.  Tonight I am sharing a Christmas card using the image Sammi Boo's Hot Cocoa.  She is one of the wonderful digital stamps that can be found at Lacy Sunshine Stamps.  Heather has a great selection of Christmas digi's for all your Christmas cards and crafts.

I went out of my comfort zone with this stamp and decided to create a scene.  A bit ambitious for me .. like I know how to colour trees!  Thankfully Copics blend nicely and hide some of the "what were you thinking" marks.  When all was said and done it all came together in the end.

Frozen Sweet Pea Blooming Beauty Christmas Card

Hi everyone. I am sharing a Christmas card I made using a previously shared colouring of  Frozen Sweet Pea Blooming Beauty from the talented Heather Valentin.

I started with snowflake accents but they just were not working for me tonight.  This card needed flowers and sparkle!  Unfortunately the camera didn't pick up the sparkle from the ribbon mesh that is covering the card background ... take my word for it, it looks great!

The flowers leaves and silver bits  are from my stash.  The leaves and silver branches are cut from dollar store accent sprigs I picked up last year. The ribbon mesh is from one of Lacy Sunshine's Crafter's Candy Boxes.

Christmas Cards Made Last Year

Hi everyone.  I spent the past few nights cleaning up some of my files and organizing my ever growing inventory of digital stamps and images.  While moving, sorting and dragging deep in my computer I came across a couple of pictures of last years Christmas cards.

It is always interesting to look back and see what was "in" last year on the craft table.  One tends to forget over the year ... well this one does!

These 3 cards all have images from Mo's Digital Pencil , were coloured with Copic's and sent out last year to family and friends.

Todays Colors

Today I am sharing Frozen Sweet Pea - Blooming Beauty and Iced Bleeding Heart from Lacy Sunshine Stamps.

Both digital stamps were coloured with Copics.  I have a small set of water colour pencils that have been calling to me so today I experimented on the backgrounds with them.  They didn't come out exactly as I had envisioned but it was fun to try something different.

As you may notice I also came across my jar of Snow-tex and have added it to both images as well as glitter, Stickles crystal, Stickels lace and Folk Art acrylic paint. Thanks for stopping by.

Caroler's Three Christmas Card

Can you tell I have been looking through my past card files?  I came across this Christmas card made using two of Mo's Digital Pencil stamps.  Two images were merged to create the scene, Carolers Three and Christmas Lamp Post.  They were then coloured with Copic's.   The back ground was water coloured and snow-tex plus glitter completed the look.  Might have to colour this one up again this year.

Wispy Birthday Card

Autumn is such a beautiful time of year with all the golden yellows, greens and oranges out there.  How can one not be inspired to copy mother natures pallet .. after all, it works for her!

I think Wispy looks right at home on this fall birthday card, don't you agree?

All embellishments and papers are from my stash.
Most of my cards are sent off in the mail so embellishments are kept simple by choice.
Less money spent on postal fees equals more crafting supplies for me!

Happy Fall Days

Today I have another fall card to share using Rory from Lacy Sunshine Stamps by the talented Heather Valentin.  The image is called Rory Collecting Autumn Leaves.  I merged Rory with a background  tree and fence than coloured the merged image with copic markers.

Rory Collecting Autumn Leaves Card - with back ground

Sorry I don't have the list of copic colours used.  This started out as a  "practice merging images and colouring backgrounds" that grew to the card you now see.

The papers, ribbon and embellishments are from my home stash.  The die is Acorn Swirl from Rococo Petites.

Easel Card with Rory Collecting Autumn Leaves

Today is my day to showcase the lovely Rory Collecting Autumn Leaves on the Lacy Sunshine Color Your World blog.  A perfect image for your fall cards and those leaf raking scrapbook pages.

I made an easel card and used papers from my stash, fall leaves & flower from Michael's mixed with an acorn swirl die cut.  Don't you think the combination makes a nice fall embellishment for this card?

Rory and Mikey Ice Dancing Coloured

Tonight I coloured Rory and Mikey Ice Dancing in memory of my mom.  She used to love watching ice skating on TV.  We had many phone conversations over the years during and after performances.  I am not sure if this will make it on a card but I will be colouring this wonderful stamp again for future cards.

Can you see the glitter that was added to the hat, skate trim and ice?  Every skater needs some bling!!

This is a limited addition image that comes with Lucy Sunshine Crafter's Candy box.  These boxes go fast so if you see them come up head over to Lucy Sunshine Stamps and pick one up before they are gone.

Create a Scene - Franklin & Frances Beastie

There is a new challenge on the Lacy Sunshine blog called Create a Scene. We were given 2 stamps from Heather's The Beasties collection to use in our scene. Here is my scene with Franklin and Frances Beastie on their way to the monster mash.

My inspiration came from Frances Beastie; hand on hips, full of attitude carrying her purse, dressed for fun.  So where would Frances go? Well of course, through the cemetery to the monster mash with Franklin!
